Just west of the village of Rochester, in Central Illinois, there is a nice little park. Ball diamonds, soccer fields, a small pond, everything you need in a park. On the west side of the park, there is Rochester History Park. This little parcel is home t this stone house that at one time, stood east of town. The Stone House has ties to Abraham Lincoln. You can read more about the history of this neat little piece of history here. http://rochesterhistoricalsociety.org/index.html . When you have the time, take a drive out to Rochester, take the Rochester Road out of town towards Lake Springfield, and just a little bit down the road you will find this little gem.
