Country Roads
WHO AM I
I have had to good fortune to be able to get out and drive around through the back roads of Illinois. In my experience, there is so much more to Illinois than what we see on tv or hear in the news. Illinois is not just about being the poorest run state in the country. It is not about career politicians whos only motive is their career and their wallets. No, there is a whole other Illinois, one of beauty and charm and history. I am going to share that Illinois with you through this blog. I hope that what I post here will inspire you to take a Sunday afternoon drive, see what is out there, and ENJOY.
I have been playing with a camera since high school. Not going to tell you exactly how long that is, but it is a pretty long time. I spent time in the Illinois Air National Guard as a photographer, about 8 years or so. I think that the digital age has allowed me to grow by leaps and bounds as a photographer, and I love the opportunities that the digital world has given us.
It is my hope, that in the not too distant future, the images that I share with you here, will become a picture book. That will be down the road a bit, stay tuned for updates on that subject.
